Stages are set up so they can be completed with only iron sights. \n\n\n\nStages are designed to challenge and increase the shooter’s weapon handling skills through physical exertion as well as shooting from unnatural positions.

DESCRIPTION:We typically shoot 3 stages for a match. Each stage is shot five (5) times with the four (4) best scores on the stage being counted. The steel plates will be from 10 to 25 yards away and maybe shot in any order as long as the designated stop plate is hit last. Makeup shots on missed plates are allowed.

DESCRIPTION:The match is focused on black powder military firearms of the 18th & 19th centuries. We will also have a side match for military bolt action rifles that were in production “prior” to WWI. Firearms can be originals or reproductions if they are in original configuration and caliber. Shooters will be grouped by firearms type\, e.g. Smooth Bore Flintlocks\, Rifled Muskets\, Black Powder Center Fire Cartridges\, etc.

SUMMARY:Trap
DESCRIPTION:GRGC is currently a one trap club\, sanctioned by the ATA to throw registered targets. We feature 36” concrete walkways\, excellent lighting for night shoots and Canterbury Voice Releases. We throw White Flyer Pitch targets to ATA standards from a Pat Trap. Currently the Trap Range is open to member and public use Monday evenings starting at 5:00 PM\, April through the end of November. We throw practice targets for all 3 disciplines\, singles/caps/doubles on a typical Monday evening.
