Each stage may be rifle only\, pistol only or a combination of both. \n\n\n\nWhile it is set up as a competition\, it is not an overly competitive environment for new shooters. Just come and have fun. Distances will vary from arm’s length to 150 yards. Combined round count will not exceed 125 rounds if shot clean. Stages are set up so they can be completed with only iron sights. \n\n\n\nStages are designed to challenge and increase the shooter’s weapon handling skills through physical exertion as well as shooting from unnatural positions.

DESCRIPTION:The match is focused on black powder military firearms of the 18th & 19th centuries. \n\n\n\nThis event would probably be best categorized as a black powder rifle enthusiast range day with friendly competition going on throughout the day. Attendees shoot flintlocks\, cap-locks and center fire black powder cartridge rifles. \n\n\n\nFirearms can be originals or reproductions if they are in original configuration and caliber. \n\n\n\nShooters will be grouped by firearms type\, e.g. Smooth Bore Flintlocks\, Rifled Muskets\, Black Powder Center Fire Cartridges\, etc. \n\n\n\nWe will shoot at distances of 50 and 100 yards. \n\n\n\nThe target used is the NRA B-17 (21”x24” – 7 7/8th Black)
