IDPA Matches

The Green River Gun Club is an International Defensive Pistol Association affiliated club.

IDPA Description:

IDPA, as a sport, is quite simply the use of practical equipment including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated “real world” self-defense scenarios. Shooters competing in IDPA events are required to use practical handguns and holsters that are truly suitable for self-defense use.

Shooters compete against other shooters with similar skills (6 classifications), and using similar equipment (7 Divisions).

Green River Gun Club IDPA Matches:

IDPA matches are scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of each month, March through November.  Additional BUG (backup gun) division matches are scheduled when there is a 5th Saturday in a month.

Setup begins         8am

Registration          9am

Match Starts         9:30am

Advance match registration on Practiscore is encouraged:

Cost will be $15.

We plan to have five to six stages in regular monthly matches.  Each stage consists of a Course of Fire with one or more strings of up to 18 rounds required.  On most stages, makeup shots are allowed.  A shooter should bring about 150 rounds of ammo to the match.

We setup stages using the pistol and rim fire bays and our shoot house.
